The Alpbachtal tourist region is located in the heart of Tyrol. Framed by the rugged mountain peaks of the Rofan Mountains and the green grass mountains of the Kitzbüheler Alpen, the region with its ten locations is a very special gem. Original farms with colorful floral decorations and rustic alpine pastures are part of the distinctive landscape. Hikers conquer the mountains. A visit to the mountain village of Alpbach with its unique architectural style shows this impressively. Each farm is absolutely unique, some are several hundred years old. Many of the 450 managed farms supply regional products that are served in many places on the menus of local restaurants and mountain huts. The Alpbachtal summer mountain railways take you comfortably on promising hiking tours. Due to the location of the region, the hikes are an absolute experience. And after the mountain experience, the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol invite you to swim.
